Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 10:38PM Whoa, what a night. Last night myself and 8 Bit Love threw a little party for the last two scenes of the bands single, Hands Say Clap Clap. Lets just say, 45 onesie's looks great in lounge room. Keep watching the blog, I'll actually post some screen captures from the footage. Thanks heaps and heaps for all that came. Really made the night a great success... I already have some ideas for the next one.....
Also massive thanks to Vito, Simon and Darvo for putting in the hard yards.... It's pretty obvious by the end of the evening they got well and truely soaked. Heaps more imagery shortly....

Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 12:17PM I was a touch conflicted whether or not to post other people's work on this blog.... Mostly out of the fact that this was a place of originality and personal process. However it's an obvious statement to make that we both reference others and take on particular styles to get desired results in our own work. This conflict has been rectified by four objectives.
I would just like to briefly comment on number four. I would say most good quality inspiration websites do a great job of updating people in the creative industries with the latest trends and latest works from particular studios/people from across the globe. I would say there would be many making a tidy living from technical peoples infatuation with the newest and latest content, gear, technology and entertainment.
I would like then, to delineate from this practice slightly by rather then always posting the latest and greatest (I'm not saying that won't happen) by posting several videos and design pieces that have something in common. A bit of mind map if you will of that style, director, sector, artist etc. So rather then always posting the latest, I'll be posting a set of movies and or designs with a perceived set of connected traits.
Disclaimer, I read and enjoy many websites that do follow the latest trends and chances are most, if not all the videos and or designs that I post, will have past by these websites previously. Let's face it, that's where I see the coolest, newest stuff too. I just hope to bring a new light and or a new context to the posted piece and maybe find out a little extra about the ones whom created said piece.
On to the first post then..
[Experiment]
I love this piece by London based film makers Luke White and Remi Weekes. In essence they have began a very similar blog by which experiments and projects will be posted in a fashion that opens up a feedback loop between creatives whom view and the creatives whom created. It also opens up new work possibilities for that matter.
‘Tell No One’ is the name of the blog and this is the latest post "Seaweed". The thing I love about this is the fact it is using basic tools we all skip over in After Effects and utilizing them a very creative combination.
Look forward to see what these guys whip up next.
