Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 8:55PM Last night was the first event I have been to that heavily featured twitter identities which was a touch strange to begin with but glad to say the meet up was both informative and very much like any other technical meet up. Intelligent and Social.
The event itself featured Cail Young giving a break down of his current Red One / 5D MKII workflow on Offspring, a showcase of a couple of popular DSLR rigs from Lemac and all round discussion on the current landscape of digital cinematography/photography acquisition.
Really great to see a couple companies involved supporting the event. Including Genus with their Viewfinder & Follow Focus up for grabs as prizes & also providing food and beverage for the attendees. Red Giant Software for having a copy of Grinder and a copy of Looks, up for grabs. Also, and this was the real prize for the night, Cail Young providing one lucky winner, one week of free hire of a kitted out RED One. Now that's a prize for a first meet up.
Special thanks goes to Nathan Rodger for hosting/organising the event. Cail and Lemac for speaking and Loop Bar, Red Giant Software & Genus for supporting the event. Really good evening all round and I would say there is a good chance of another.

Positive Posters Edit Update | Comment #011
Just a little update on the impromptu Positive Posters shoot. Basically waiting upon a couple of assets from others but if I don't hear back I'll still post it next week (after checking with the guys of course). Look forward to showing you the final which will most likely be split in two, one snappy and the other long and in depth.
Not to shabby for a couple of hours of shooting and a couple of hours here and there editing.
