BERNIE'S RELEASE

PHOTOGRAPHER: Chris Cooper

PHOTO DESCRIPTION

Immediate reaction obviously is falling, but I took it in a sense of, not listening directly to the sound but sometimes how sound effects you. Stages of listening to music create sense of clarity, free fall. Your eyes close, letting the beat, rhythm take over and lifting you higher. On a perfect St. Kilda Sunday, Bernie is letting the sound take him where no else can go. Hopefully he will land in a happy place.

Camera: Canon EOS 1000D
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55 mm F/3.5-5.6 IS

Canon EOS Photo5, Confetti | Inspiration #016

Monty's New Toy

PHOTOGRAPHER: Chris Cooper

PHOTO DESCRIPTION

To celebrate good times I was going i got my friends daughter to come around and start playing with confetti and chocolate and lollies. Instead my dog was the one to get more of a kick out of it then my friend. I then got her and my dog playing around and this picture came out. They both aren't even in full view but the way the photo flows with colour was a real treat. I hope you smile as much as I when you see it.

Camera: Canon EOS 1000D

Colour Wheel

PHOTOGRAPHER: Bernard Winter

PHOTO DESCRIPTION

One man band this evening so had to be creative in terms of object and light positioning assistance. Using the projector again I found that shooting through a fan also splits colours up. Pretty cool. Love this photo for it's angles and dimension.

Mind Games

PHOTOGRAPHER: Chris Cooper

PHOTO DESCRIPTION
Named after a John Lennon song, 'Mind Games' depicts a scene of a couple through a dinner. The incense/smoke is to create the mood, or at least the flame was at the beginning. Burning brightly, a dramatic change can turn something so bright into a dark unpredictable form. A reflection into the way we and the things around us change too.

Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55 mm F/3.5-5.6 IS

Canon EOS Photo5, Bubble Gum | Inspiration #014

Bubble Burst Bubble

PHOTOGRAPHER: Chris Cooper

PHOTO DESCRIPTION
Experimenting with the bubble gum was fun. I wanted people to double take when seeing this picture. Bubble gum was a journey back to childhood for me. Old smells and tastes of strawberry resonated from within, and the over powered smell of sweetness took the to the nose. I wanted to get people involved so i wandered around asking people do they bubble or burst. Well.....what do you do??

Camera: Canon EOS 1000D

Chewing Gum

PHOTOGRAPHER: Bernard Winter

PHOTO DESCRIPTION
I have always wanted to get into distorting reality in-camera and this is the beginning. Does a portrait need to be face on? Classically yes but more so it is important to attempt to capture the personality of a person in a portrait (at least that's what I believe. Chris is as easy going as they come but always looking skyward.

Hands Say Clap Clap WIP ONE | 8 Bit Journey #034

This a collection of stills, shot over the day utilizing my Canon 7D in tandem with the Canon Timer Remote [TC-80N3]. Still to be cut in, will be all the video shot, in addition to the final scene which will be a house party.

One thing I learnt throughout the day was using the cheap ND 8 filter I had was a bad idea. It really shifted the colours quite a bit so I decided to ditch it pretty early. Invest in a good Variable ND and that will save that grief.

The video itself below is just everything stretched to the entirety of the song. As I go I'll chop things out, add things, repeat things, change colours, etc.
